Sticky ejection and cleaning a No.1

I have two questions. I'm working up a load for a .338 Win Mag and with 66 or 66.5 grs of RL 15 and 3050 fps I seem to have to exert a fair amount of pressure to open the action. I don't see any marks on the brass base/headstamp like you would for a bolt action and high chamber pressure and primers are blowing back or overly flattened. Is the sticking upon ejection I'm seeing a high pressure sign?
Secondly when I clean the action and barrel I've using an aersol degreaser to loosen up some of the powder fouling and after I clean with CR 10 to flush it. I also spray the action occasionally and wondering how do you lubricate the falling block/action with out getting a lot of surplus oil or grease left to collect dust/dirt? I have been using some Barnes bullets and have been cleaning the barrel far more often trying to reduce the copper fouling and that has prompted care of the action.

Without knowing what bullet and bullet weight you are using, it's difficult to assess what the problem may be. However, I do think you may be using a bit more powder for the bullet you are using. I load for and shoot 22 different Ruger #1 rifles and one Browning B-78 and when extraction becomes sticky, I consideer the load too hot and drop back enough to eliminate the stickiness. Unfortunately, the Ruger #1 doen't have an ejector that will leave a mark so what I used is case head expansion, pressure ring expansion and chronograph readings which I plot on graph paper. Using those parameters, I can usually determine a max load before extraction gets sticky. As far as oil and cleaners seeping into the action, about all you can do is take the gun apart and clean after you've done the barrel. Pay very close attention to that little toggle link. If you get it backwards, the breech won't close. It's quite hard telling which end is which as they are almost the same size. Ruger #1 rifle are very nice, but they do have their little quirks. Possum Hollow makes a delrin bore guide for the Ruger #1. I have a couple for .243 and .30-06. I don't see the .338 Win Mag listed, but they say custom is not a problem. See if they'll make one for you for .338 Win Mag...Here's a link to their chart.

On my 22-250, when I load a little too hot the primer will crater a very small amount and extrude into the firing pin hole very slightly. You have to shear off that extruded metal when opening the action, making it hard to open. Look at your primer indents and you might see a tiny ring of bare brass around the indent. That is the problem, even though the primer is not flattened appreciably.
