Yip Yip Yippeeee! The new book on pistols by Bailey Brower is now available. I received my first order of 12 copies today. That's about a month ahead of schedule. I got mine at Amazon.
You rifle lovers won't be disappointed either. While the book clearly focuses on Savage pistols, the beautiful four color fotos of Savage lever rifles start on page 4. Bailey is a very wise and savvy fellow and has added just enough about Savage history and memorabilia to interest everyone and make the purchase price of around $35.00 seem reasonable.
I highly reccomend at least one copy to everyone interested
in "Savage".
Ironic that Baileys book arrives within a few weeks after the passing of Doug Murray.

I saw a few of Bailey's pistols at the Ohio Show. Makes my stuff look like scrap iron! He is a "collector".

FWIW, I think he could have easily gotten 49.95 off of Amazon. There is a real vacuum out there for Savage info. Be interesting to watch sales and see how many copies he sells. With Carr's and Stern's books selling for around $200, it's an interesting market albeit a small market.
