Steve...Remember all the good times. Lost my hero and Dad about five years ago. It will get better...mostly, now I remember the good times, especially the hunting trips.

I know your families lives have been turn upside down with the passing of both your father and father-in-law. Life can be a ruff road at times. I hope it smooths out for you in the near future. Very sorry for your loss, from my family to yours.

Hi Fellas. Been A Rough Couple Of Days,,And Not Yet Over. I have Taken a Couple Hours to Myself to Reflect,,and Do Some things,,I thought I would Stop In and Say A Heart Felt Thank-you.
Dad Passed the Same Morning as Freds Wake,, But Were In the Same Funeral Home the Same Day,,,They both had a Bear and Shot together,,I Know they Did,,I sure They have a Couple Of Hunts Already Planned,,And Are Building Some Molds and Dies together. Fred was Layed to Rest Yesterday Morning,,,The Severice was Wonderful and The Crowd of Over 300 Folks Gathered. Folks as Far as Colorado,South Dakota That were Hunting Freinds Of Fred and Mine Arrived. Again Thank-you to all. Will Be hard again Sunday and Monday. Steve
P.S. Another E-Mail from one of the Neighbors on my dad and Fred.
Ladies, It is my privilege, but a sad task to let you all know of another long time neighbor that has passed away, today. Stephan & Marianne Ballek were just moving into their house about the same time that we were, nearly 21 years ago. I've received the sad news that Stephan Ballek lost his long bout with cancer this morning and has passed away. This particular event affects not just one neighborhood family, but three, as he was the father of Verna Fersch and Steve Ballek, also long time Countryside Lake neighbors and good friends to many who live here. This particular event comes on the heels of Fred Suedermann's death on Monday morning, (Chris Ballek's Dad). But there is yet more to the story..... Fred Suedermann and Stephan Ballek were friends and business associates for 40 years and immediate neighbors for the last 20 years. Many an hour was spent by the gentlemen in the company of one another, hunting, enjoying the outdoor life on Stephan's gazebo overlooking the pond, usually with a drink in hand. There was great competition between the two friends, but during the last months, each suffering a terminal illness prevented them from sharing the past times with each other they so enjoyed. And so now, their deaths barely days apart, they've been able to be in each other's company once again on the other side. It may be a sad day with each of their families, but Stephan and Fred are picking up where they left off. Each has lived a blessed life, living in a neighborhood where so many people know and care about them and their families, having their children and grandchildren as neighbors. That is what I care to remember. The arrangements are as follows: Visitation: Sunday, Oct. 12 3-9 pm Funeral: Monday, Oct. 13 10 am Visitation will take place at Ahlgrim Funeral Home 415 S. Buesching Road Lake Zurich, IL 847-540-8871 Funeral Sunday at St. Francis DeSales Church, Lake Zurich, IL 60047 In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by: American Cancer Society and Monarch Hospice Foundation 5435 Bull Valley Road, Suite 304 McHenry, IL 60050.
