Ya, I like these old shots alot. That second pic is a hoot!! the look on that guys face looks like he saying "feel free to take a shot at my woman, but don't even THINK about touchin' my 99!!".
And by the look of that cabin, they may both be leaning against it to keep it from falling over. Hee hee.

That second pump rifle in from the left, is that a Colt Lightening? I can't tell what the other two are but figuring heavier than 22's. Remington or Marlin?

I believe the first rifle on the left is a Remington, model 12c, the second a Winchester 1906, and the one on the far right a Winchester 1890.

Being from Wisconsin I want to mention the pilot’s name - Richard Bong. He flew a P38 and there is one painted to replicate his at the EAA museum in Oshkosh, WI. Here is a link with a short bio, one of the first things mentioned is his shooting ability with a hunting rifle (type of rifle not mentioned - but from the picture we know) Richard Bong According to this he only had 40 confirmed kills but had more claimed. He was killed the same day the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima while piloting a P80 jet during their developement. Gene
