Best optics are in a Zeiss bino or monocular RF. And most reliable ranging too. Swaro is not bad, but BEST is Zeiss.

I too am interested in one of these units. I haven't been able to find any comparison between the Zeiss 8x26 and the Swarovski or Leica models. Have you used all of them or do you know folks who have?

One day I'd like to upgrade optically from my Newcons but don't want to suffer a hit in ranging performance, as I would with the Geovid. I'm hoping this Zeiss will fit the bill.

JonA, You're the first person that I know of that has used a Newcon. I was researching these units a couple of months ago, but because I couldn't find any significant user ratings, I went with Leica instead. How would you rate Newcon optik rangefinders? Which models have you used? How would you say they compare to the Leica LRF or CRF 1200?
