Looking at getting a new VX2 2-7X33 and having the parallex changed to 50 yards for my new CZ453.I asked a question on rimfirecentral and someone said the new VX2's eyebox wasn't as good as on the VXII.

Is the new VX2 2-7X33 just as easy to get behind as the old VXII or Vari X? My main reason for the VX2 2-7x33 choice is because I have always found the Vari X 2-7X33 the easiest to get behind scope I have ever used.

I suggest you go to a gun shop that has one of those rifle stocks that customers can use to test a scope. The only way I've ever been able to really tell how much eye box a scope has is to mount it on a rifle, or at least one of those "tryout stocks". E

I have 2 VX-2 2-7x33mm and IMO both are as good as or better than my VX-II.

I liked the VX-2 2-7x33 that I looked at. not sure if it was just me but seemed more forgiving than the vx-3 2.5-8.

especially liked how clear the LR reticle is that you can get in the vx2 2-7

If you buy a current production VX-2 made in 2012 or 2013 you are getting a darn good scope. Leupold upgraded the VX-2 and VX-1 in January of 2012. My newer VX-2 is a better scope in every way than a 5 year old VX-3 I own. The newer VX-1's are essentially an older VX-2. Any of the older generation VX I's, II's or III's are inferior to the 1's, 2's and 3's.

I used the REDFIELD version (Leupold made) 2-7 aat ThunderRanch on a 223. FREAKING Wonderful scope for $150 bucks.

On a CZ (I have a 452) I would look very seriously at that scope. Huge bang for the buck.

I am VERY impressed! Leupold continues to set the standard for customer service.
