I'm trying Reloder-17 in some .30-06 loads with Nosler Partitions. What has been successful for you?
Thanks,
P

I'm shooting 59 gr with a 150 accubomb 3.35" COAL. Again, lots of freebore. 59.5 showed no pressure signs, but I backed it down a half grain anyway since I will be hunting in hot temps for pronghorn. 2875 fps, 20" barrel.

I have not seen any gain with RL-17 over H-4350 in my rifle. I shot both 165's and 180's. I load toward Max. book loads. Accuracy just a bit less with the Rl-17. Has anyone else had these results? Buckfever1

I just tried it yesterday so haven't downloaded the targets yet. I loaded 55.5 and 56.5 grains under a Nosler 180. At 55.5 grains velocity averaged 2826 and shot into 1.45 inches (gross). I didn't shoot the 59.5 grain loads. This powder has potential and I'm trying 57, 58 next weekend.
I once again tried to use 4350 data for Re 17 and have come to the same conclusion - it is faster than any of the 4350's. I have no issues with running a 180 bullet in the 06 to 2800 using slower powders (for the 06). Once I hit 2800, its time to stop. Yesterday was my first use of 180's in this particular 06 (SS, M70, 24" tube). Apparently I have a fast barrel - or minimum spec chamber and higher pressures. I'll go with the later. I broke 280 with all loads and reached 2900 with one and did not shoot several top end loads. I've shot these loads in various 06's before but have never been this much over 2800 in other 30-06's. Funny thing - no sticky cases, primers aren't bad - no outward signs I had high pressure - other than the chronograph. I believe the chronograph.

56-58gr RE17 behind a 150 E-Tip shot from mediocre to [bleep] today (1.8"-3" groups). My starting loads of RE17 behind a 168 E-Tip were so bad I quit for the day.
For reference, factory Federal Premium with a 165gr TSX shot into 1" with three of five shots through the same hole.
Going to try some changes to seating depth before giving up on RE17 for this rifle.

Any updates on this cartridge/powder combo? Have any of you tried it with 200gr or 220gr Partitions?

Hammedown - perfect! This is exactly what I was looking for. Have you tried it with the 220 Partition?

This is my 30-06 200 grain Nosler Partition 55.5 grains RL-17 2755MV 5 shot group. You oughta know Partitions don't shoot I was at the range one day checking some targets and a guy on the target stand over started commenting on my groups and asked "What load was the one holer?" When I told him it was Partitions, he did a double take, pulled out his phone, and took a pic LOL. Lots of folks still claim they don't shoot for beans.

P Not a partition...165 gr Accubond (57 grs of RL17 = 2900 FPS and sub 1/2" @200 yds out of a 6lb 9oz Tikka After seeing that pic I'm going to have to try 1/2 a grain more under a Sierra 165 gr BTSP. I had two consecutive shots go into one hole and the next two shots ended up going kind of wild with 56.5 grains of RL-17. Maybe 1/2 a grain will tighten it up. I went with H-414. Consistent 3/4 groups at 100 yds. Dan
