Gun wizard what kind of hunt are you looking for? Are you hunting for a trophy wall hanger or wanting to deer hunt in a new area with a good chance of a nice deer and maybe Mr. Big.
Ky has a lot of public hunting areas and excellent camping facilities or you can simply stay in a local motel usually within 15-20 min to the public access areas. The KDWF has a good website and maps of all of their public land and if you call them they can probably steer you in the direction you want to go. Use to be the public land was crowded but not so much any more especially after opening weekend.

Some of the largest bucks ever taken in KY have been on public land. Plus it is a rewarding experience. Just depends on what you are looking for, as Bangeye had asked. Bump....

My reason for seeking information on an outfitter is that I am 65 years of age and have total joint replacement of both hips and both shoulders have had rotator cuff repaired. I can no longer drag a deer out of the woods myself nor do a do it yourself hunt on public land. Therefor I am looking for a reputable outfitter for my hunt.

If you need some help to get out in the woods, I'd be happy to come down and help out. I'm just a young punk-only 52 years old, but I can't stand the thought that one of us wants to hunt and can't get out. Drop me a line if I can be of assistance.
