I bought a couple of the 4x16x44 HS-T's.

I think they're a great value with decent glass and repeatable tracking.

I didn't need one but it looked really tempting...now I'm gonna find out if I missed a good deal or a great deal.
But, I have faith another sale will pop up sooner or later.

I have nothing but good things about the scope, though I have the VMR-1 reticle. Looking to use it on my eventual Coues deer rifle if I ever draw...

2.5-10x44 on a .300 Win Mag, like it, haven't had it enough years to love it, but zero issues so far under recoil.

Clear optics, easy controls, and I like the size of the reticle, some see the size as a down point. Works for me.

Let's hear what you think after the weekend.

On the 4-16 viper how do you set the turret to zero after sighting in?
Do you have to loosen set screws on the cap....or do you lift, rotate and drop?

Loosen the set screw caps...at least on the HS-T model.

Yeah, I'll provide some feedback once I get it mounted.

Three on top.

Leupold CDS is the same, and I've never had any come loose after a few years of hard hunting. I wouldn't sweat it.

Mounted the scope today and I couldn't be happier. It is super nice. Good decision.
