Just a shot in the dark, wondering if anyone has a classic or BDL 300sav take off barrel. Looking for a new or very low round count barrel
Thanks Johno

I got a bdl in 300 savage I was gonna rebarrel, what's the barrel worth?
Rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Another route is to buy a 700 take off 30-06 on GB for 40-60 bucks and have a smith cut and rechamber, did that a couple of years ago and worked just fine.

I guess a 308win barrel would be an easier fix. I will wait on Nate just in case he decides to go that way. I think those earlie rem barrels were much better than the later ones

Agree with you 100% on the older barrels. Been toying around with doing the same thing but a bolt action 30AR chambering this time around.

I agree on the earlier being better, seen too many off center chambers in the newer barrels.

Tal the one that seems to come up a lot is the 221 fireball chamber, being a small cal fella can't recall how many times ive seen this raised on forums.
I have rem classic in 250-3000, 1983 I think, its just a great quality rifle.
