Nice! Seems like he would need a neck like a tree trunk and massive back loins to carry that rack.

Man...I'd be super happy if he wandered to my neck of the woods in about 3 months!
I wonder if these "town bucks" go into stealth mode during hunting season like normal or do they just lay under a tree in city park giving the middle finger to all hunting rigs as they pass by?

He was hanging out in my buddy's back yard last October. Glad to see he survived the winter.

I bet a cop shoots it! Never mind, it's Oregon not Colorado.

They get that big by being smart. Being smart is knowing where he's safe from hunters. A few years ago we went through Sun Valley on our way up deer hunting. There were 3 nice bucks (not on a par with this one though) feeding on a lawn in the middle of town, right under a street light.

And he's in a unit managed for large numbers of tags, not quality. ODFW calls it "opportunity" when they sell an unsustainable # of tags in a unit. I call it mis-management when the deer herd all but disappears from everywhere but town.

Awesome buck! The messed up thing is that even if this beast is shot legally, the poor sap who shoots it will always be under attack.

I live in a small town in Wyoming and always see the nicest bucks walking in and around town early in the morning before the tourists are up...... not as nice as this one but nice.... They live in town because it is safe and relatively easy living.... bird feeders and lawns and gardens to feast on..... besides there are people with guns in the mountains and prairie!!!!!!!!

Wow, that is a tremendous deer!
Had a friend shoot a 204" whitetail that was outside of city limits, therefore legal, though several residents of the outskirts wanted him hanged. Fortunately, he had trail camera photos for date proof plus had contacted the local warden to keep him up to date on the progress. Even had the warden sit with him one night glassing from a distance to prove the deer was coming across legal ground.
