According to Mule Deer their short action is really an intermediate action, perfect for rounds like the old 7x57.

Still herd thinning. However, at some point in the future thinking a Left Hand 257 Roberts, built on a S/A LH MRC receiver. And dressed up to look like a Pre-64 Super Grade. One nice wood stocked rifle in the cabinet to carry on sunny days.....

If so,why not contact the manufacture? They built it and most all honor their warranty?
I think dumping it on the "used gun" market allows for two things that aren't good...one an unsuspecting buyer now has a problem child and the builder gets off scot-free and thinks everything is fine.....??
Like many -- all -- of your posts, you begin with a logical thought and then quickly descend into stupidity. Not to mention you're way the f*ck off-topic anyway.

I have yet to see ANY manufacturer not "warranty" any firearm because the current owner wasn't the original purchaser. Which pretty well means the point of your "query" is the usual pointless, inane, self-serving bullshit which is your hallmark.
I guess re-hab didn't work for you, someone flush again!
Go watch Matlock and take your anti-dementia drugs, dickhead.

I was browsing MRC's new website and noticed they're chambering the 6XC and 22-250 in the XWR-SS line.

It will be interesting to see how they're twisted. I sent them an email asking specifics. Let's hope they twisted them fast...

I sent them an email a few weeks ago asking for some twist rates.

Here is the info provided:

308 1-10 Twist will stabilize between 110 grain to 220 Grain (probably the widest range of any caliber)

260 1-8.5 Twist will stabilize 130-160 Grain or the 1-9 Twist will stabilize 100-140 Grain

243 1-9 Twist which will stabilize 60 gr to 110 grain

270 1-10 Twist which will stabilize 90-150 Grain.

Jeff,

Below is the old spec sheet I received from Will at MRC a couple of years ago. Wonder if they changed things a bit? Some of these were slower than I'd like...especially the 243 and 6.5's.

New website? It was "under construction" two days ago. I ended up calling them with questions.

Thanks.

Something on the 284 Win case would be a going concern with the right barrel set up.
