JOG,

My only point is the 40S&W 2022 is not the same as the 9mm version but u pay the same price.

Now UPh has opined nite sites and a LCI are no big deal. I find a LCI a very handy feature and nite sites are usually a friggen $100 option. Maybe UPh thinks a $100 is no big deal. Or maybe he's talking out his @ss. I own both pistols.

So there is the truth. Do with it with what you will.

Night sights are a 72 dollar upgrade

The LCI seems to be a recent added feature

I work for a Sig dealer. They don't charge different prices for different calibers in the same model. For example, a P229 in 9mm, 40 or 357 is the same price. Same thing with night sights...all calibers of one model are the same price. I don't care what your dealer charges, I know what Sig charges. GFY

UPH..,

If you do, in fact work for Sig dealer, get a 2022 in 9MM and another in 40S&W. Compare the two and you will see the 9mm has nite sites a lci which the 40 does not. That's about a $200 difference in value, but the price is the same ! I never said they charge different prices for the same model in different calibers.

My dealer is Cabelas. Ever hear of them?

No it is about an 80 dollar difference. And the night sights are an option on any caliber

Let me explain this to you one more time. A Sig 2022 in 40 or 9 is the same price. The same gun in either caliber with night sights is the same price. Cabelas may have mispriced one. It wouldn't be the first time. The LCI gun may have been a MA Compliant gun. I believe that MA requires it. I've seen a 239 with one but don't live there so don't know and don't care.
PS- Yes, I am familiar with Cabela's. They're the overpriced place with all the purty stuffed animals that people without a life take their bored family on long daytrips to.

Do you favor one over another?-the SP2022 and the P226. Roughly, what is the weight difference?

I think what UPH is trying to say is that wholesale from SIG USA does differentiate in prices of models with different features. Retail stores, such as Cabela's, may not. One of the dealers I go to recently said that SIG is notorious for changing features on their models and also accessories, etc. One time say a 2022 will come in with an extra mag whereas the next one they get won't have one. Sometimes they get the holster, sometimes they don't, etc. OTOH, Cabela's is notorious for having idiots pricing stuff that many times don't know what they're doing. I don't doubt that they did have a gun with $200 less worth of features priced the same as a gun with the features.
