The VX-2 is a nice scope. About the best Deal going in scopes right now are the weaver classics 3x9x38 from Natchez Shooter Supply for 129!!!! I ordered 3 the other day.

I purchased both a few months ago. The Redfield is on a RAR .223 Compact, the Leupold is on a Tikka T3 light in 308. Both are clear and bright beyond what one would expect for the price. They have had between 4-600 rounds each of various ammunition through them and have held zero w/out problem. Neither has been through really rough conditions or weather yet. So far I am happy. I would rate the Leupold higher than the other due to clarity and eye relief.

The VX-2 is a notch above the Revolution, but also costs a bit more. For the money, there are no flies on the Revolution and I have several.
Now with even more aplomb

The Revolution is a very good scope, I bought a 2-7 and 3-9 when they came out. When they came out they were somewhere in between VX-1 and VX-2 in features and cost less than VX-1. Leupold has since upgraded both the VX-1 and VX-2. If buying new the Redfield is still as good as ever, but a tiny bit less quality than a VX-1, and quite a bit less than a current VX-2.
I wouldn't be afraid to use any of them.

Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
