Anyone else think this is a result of the recent mass exodus across the southern border?

Cases of enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) are exploding all across the country with nearly 20 states reporting dozens of cases. The outbreaks are growing so quickly that the Centers for Disease Control are lagging far behind announced cases.

On Wednesday theWashington Postreported that 16 states had reported cases of the respiratory illness. But only hours later,New Jersey also announcedit had found some cases quickly bringing that number up to 17. ThenMinnesota became the 18th statelater that same day.
The outbreak has been growing since at least mid-August.The CDC confirms that children aremost susceptibleto D68 because their immune systems are not yet developed enough to beat the virus.
Also, the CDC says children with asthma seem to have a higher risk for severe respiratory illness. There are currently no vaccines for D68 and doctors suggest that those at risk keep their hands clean, avoid touching their faces, avoid kissing and hugging, and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as counters, tables, and even toys.
So far, cases of D68 have been seen in Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

DOCTOR: GOVT TIGHT-LIPPED ON RESPIRATORY VIRUS, MAY BE FROM ILLEGALS

Dr. Jane Orient,Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, reported that the government has been real tight-lipped about the mysterious respiratory illness that has struck children in the United States, expressed concern that the illegal immigrant minors from Central America could be the source, and argued that the government should devote more resources to border security to combat the spread of disease on Wednesdays Laura Ingraham Show.

Don't buy into all the hype. My kids have had it already. It produces kind of a strange kind of cough, but beyond that, it wasn't much different then any other cold.

It only took them about 3 days to kick it. As long as the kids are healthy, just keep then well rested and well fed for a few days and they will do just fine.

i dont think this particular virus is going to be a big killer, but its going to be something like this that is....in the past its ones like this that are, not ones like ebola....what makes bugs like these so dangerous is the length of time a person is both healthy enough to be mobile AND infectious....been several where they are infectious long BEFORE major symptoms hit....and that is what winds up killing lots of people when a bad respiratory virus hits...people are spreading it before they know they are sick making it a b!tch to contain if you dont do so in the first few DAYS of an outbreak...

No, it has nothing at all to do with that
The virus has been here for a long time

part of the reason this chit concerns me and ive spent a fair bit studying it is cause i fall into one or more of the major risk groups for bad respiratory viruses....im in the group that usually gets killed off smirk

If this virus has been here a long time then why are they calling it a 'Mystery Virus' as quoted in my second post and many medis outlets?

And then there's this

TX SHERIFF: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION CAUSING TB 'RESURGENCE' IN JAILS

Midland County, TX Sheriff Gary Painter stated that illegal immigration is causing a resurgence of tuberculosis and other diseases in county jails across the nation on Thursdays Laura Ingraham Show.

You got medical issues, these people are coming in a lot of them have tuberculosis, they have other diseases that theyre bringing with them. Even in our county jails across the states, people coming from the other countries are bringing all this stuff with them where we never had tuberculosis before, now were having a resurgence of tuberculosis and other diseases in county jails across the nation, and its because of people bringing them in from outside the United States he reported, adding that the assistance thats coming from the federal government is nil.Painter also said that the Obama administration has prevented law enforcement from enforcing the nations immigration laws, there are laws on the books that the administration is forbidding or stopping the federal officers from enforcing, there are many, many people that are in federal law enforcement that would love to enforce the laws, but theyre being stopped he declared.
And we have a reduction in the number of immigration officers on the interior of the United States, that are checking people for visas, checking people that have overstayed their visas, looking for people that have absconded from their bail where theyre awaiting trial or court action, theres no one to pick up on it.

Because it sounds more dramatic, and it sucks in the gullible so they get more hits on their websites.

Do some REAL research and you'll find it's no "mystery" at all

Enterovirus D68 was first identified in California in 1962 and since then clusters have appeared in Asia, Europe and the United States.

Well, since it's not being reported in any border states, it seems unlikely.

I am still left wondering if it was brought in by the kids that the feds scattered all over the country.
No way to really know for sure as the feds won't even tell anyone where these kids were relocated to.
