That is the creepiest area of the Carolina Coast that I have ever been swimming in. LOTS of stuff in the water and the beach drops off deep very close to shore. That area is for fishermen not swimmers. I will take Oak Island south to Charleston any day over the Crystal Coast area.

My guess would be black tips, they're one of the few sharks that travel in schools. Probably following the bluegills south. Crystal Coast. Is that part or all of the outer banks?

John, I have indeed noticed that you and I seem similar in this respect! Must be the potato bologna... John Or perhaps the rye bread, or the ostkaka and lingenberries, or the meatballs (with the parsley on top), or Mrs. Lindgren's scratch-made spice cupcakes ... I would love to go back to one of those 1950s smorgasbords at our church!
