Getting ready to buy some new Pac boots. I'm tired of buying boots every 2 or 3 years so I want something better made. I'm trying to decide between Kennetrek or Schnees? Any other options?

I really like my Hoffmans. They are out of Kellogg, ID. Not sure how long I've had them but its been quite a few years now. Had the bottoms rebuilt once, when the air bobs were getting pretty worn. I have heard good about the Schnees also. I wouldn't buy a pair of White's pacs though, way to wide for my liking. They make a good work boot, but i don't like there pacs.

Looking at the Hoffman. How do they fit? True to size or go bigger?
Looking at outback and proseries. Leaning towards the pro series.
They're both thinsulate models not felt.

I've used the Schnees for sitting in a tree stand 10 years or so with good luck. Can't beat them for keeping my feet warm. They just don't support my ankles as well as an all leather boot when hiking in rough terrain. Good Luck!

I've got an awesome pair of Hoffman boots but they only see field time when there is going to be more walking than sitting. If I have to sit for more than a couple hours, they aren't going to cut it under 20 degrees for me. I'll grab my 10 year old Rocky pac boots with the felts.

My buddy swears by his 20 year old LL Bean pacs.

I wear a size 11.5 in most everything and my Hoffman pacs are a 12. They fit well with a medium to heavy sock.

If you want a pac boot, it's a no-brainer - schnees. They will last a lifetime and have an unbeatable warranty. If you want support, check out their beartooth or granite boots...cannot beat them either
