The only way I have seen that actually work, is if the thread remains locked and only the moderator can add to it. And that was in extreme cases where deception and intended malice was evident. In those cases, it does protect the members who buy or sell from being victimized. Usually that action got them banned as well.
But, to have a sticky so two guys can have a trainwreck over whether that insignificant scratch was on the scope before or after it was shipped wouldn't serve anyone well. You forget the quantitative entertainment value

Hardly libel if you can reprint an email. When you see an email like mac sent: didn't see it being packed, wife did it shes usually pretty good...
I think most of us can spot weasel language and go from there. That struck me as an odd thing to bring up also, that was a big red flag for me!
