I'd like to buy a Marlin 39. Nothing specific in mind. Prefer pre CBS. Would be interested in one with a straight stock (mountie) and/or octagon barrel.

There is a refinished Marlin 92 for sale on RFC in the $500+ range. Looks really nice!

I have the one you are talking about. It is a '92 Marlin. I'm not up on these rifles so I can't really tell you the difference. Maybe someone else can chime in. All I know is this rifle is very nice and shoots great. I have only shot a box of ammo through it. I want $525 plus shipping.
