Why doesn't it have a step in the barrel where the rear sight mounts? I thought all F's had that. Rebarrel?

For a decent condition cut checkered, 284, I would have thought that was a very fair price bordering a very good deal.

Not that I really know any better, but does the barrel look awful thick to anybody else?

Looks alittle strange. Maybe just an optical illusion.
