A quick post as I just got back from the range. Did some loads with R-33 and Barnes 127 LRX. I was just looking for max and found it with 72 gr. with Nosler brass and Fed 215GM primers. This load was going 3387 fps with sticky bolt lift. I also had another 264 with me that takes more powder to get it going so I had 1 round with 72 gr. and 2 rounds with 73 gr. The 2nd rifle has a 24" barrel and the first has a 27". 72 Gr. from # 2 went 2839 fps and 73 went 2885. These 3 shots showed no pressure signs. The fps difference between the rifles with the 72 gr. load was a whopping 548 fps.

I've got a 264 that gets up to speed with about 4-5 grains lower that book. One is a tight barrel and one is a loose barrel, I suspect. That is a HUGE spread though.

With the same powder and bullet it takes 75gr to run the 3300+ velocity in my Kreiger. I can go more but I don't see a need.

PM Rick (rcamuglia) here on the Fire. He's had a bunch of .264 WM experience and is an accomplished LR shooter and hunter. RL-33 is his current powder of choice. He's been a lot of help to me with my 26 Nosler project. DF

Out on Saturday with the .264. I shoot 77 grains of RL-33 with the 140 Berger VLD.

How is Re33 temp sensitivity?

Found and bought some Re-33 a few months ago. Was thrilled at the velocities I was getting under a Interbond 129 but I can't get them to group. At all (M70 SG). So, am going to stick with Re-33 but move to the NAB 130.
