Even with those lousy pictures it easy to see it's been reblued and sanded.

That's why you guys are the pros. I'm not at all into the Savages w/o the cheeks. Definitely the forearm upper corners are gone, couldn't tell much else about it other than the wrong rear sight elevator and wasn't sure on the front ramp.

Were there any chambered in .303 Brit.? No - just 303 Savage. I saw a 99 in a pawn shop a few months ago in, according to the tag, ".300 Win Mag". When I told the girl that it was tagged wrong she said "Oh, what GAUGE is it?"
