It's a 2X Leupold that I have, sorry for the confusion on that one. The etching is hard to read on the silver scopes and the box is buried in my closet full of shooting stuff.

I turned the eyepiece all the way in and the eye relief was much better, backed it out a couple turns and it seems perfect at full arm length or with my arms slightly flexed. Pulled the gun up a dozen times or so at dusk and it was no problem getting a full view through the scope every time. Wish I had posted this last month... Thanks again!

I think that really depends on the shooter. It takes practice, but you can shoot very accurately with a red dot at longer ranges.

Depends on the size of the target, and the size of the dot. So long as the dot doesn't fully obscure the target, I agree with you.

Even if the dot cover the target hits are very likely. I have hit long distance target repeatedly that my reticle completely covered.

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

My eyes turned mid-40's last year, and my eyesight got funky. Open sights are not easy anymore. Seemed to happen overnight!

I've used RMRs and prefer these:

Cheaper -- a lot cheaper.
