What was wrong with that? If it is a true story. I used to wear overshoes to school in the Illinois mud.

Always used the five buckle boots. Four buckle was for sissies and little kids.

I believe the bread bags were related to boots. Those buckle boots were not leak proof and the bread bags helped with that. I wore mine inside my boots. Less obvious.

We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

Right on!

Have looked for a buyer for this:

at $1250, and even dropped it to $1125 in order to move it before Christmas. I'm sure it will move faster when it gets raised to $1475. But hey, that's a raise I deserve! laugh

Poor ol' dumb Joey Biden called Ernst a 'congressman' on morning news today.

That was good for a laugh.

Sorry, I can't stand Joni Ernst. I'm sure she is a nice lady, but man is she irritating.

I wish the Republicans would quit trying to show, "Hey, look we have women too (black guy, Indian guy, queer guy...whatever) and just put up a seasoned orator who would speak well and demolish Obama issue by issue.

Look, I'm sure Joni Ernst is a nice lady. She might even turn out to be a competent senator, but she has been there two weeks and she had very limited political experience before that. She should not be delivering the rebuttal to the State of the Union. Put someone up there who will hit it out of the park.

And frick, I'm an adult. I'm not going to get excited by the "...I was born a poor black child" routine. Talk to me about REAL tax reform, about repealing Obamacare, about controlling spending...you know, actual issues.

The Republicans are either nothing more than planned opposition ala The Washington Generals or they are the dumbest political party in the history of the world.

Of course I watched. Everyone should have watched. The reason we're in this mess now is because so many did not watch a long time ago.

If you don't watch and listen then how in the hell do you know what's going on?

I like Joni as long as she does not laugh! eek

After all these years I did not have to watch to know what Obama was going to say.

So I once again, watched Meryl Streep lose her farm in Africa.
Checked in on Obama during commercials and I was right. There was nothing new to learn.

Joni however, is a new face and I found her short message of moving on past Obama encouraging.

"Americans have been hurting, but when we demanded solutions, too often Washington responded with the same stale mindset that led to failed policies like Obamacare. It's a mindset that gave us political talking points, not serious solutions.

That's why the new Republican majority you elected started by reforming Congress to make it function again. And now, we're working hard to pass the kind of serious job-creation ideas you deserve.

One you've probably heard about is the Keystone jobs bill. President Obama has been delaying this bipartisan infrastructure project for years, even though many members of his party, unions and a strong majority of Americans support it. The president's own State Department has said Keystone's construction could support thousands of jobs and pump billions into our economy, and do it with minimal environmental impact. We worked with Democrats to pass this bill through the House. We're doing the same now in the Senate.

President Obama will soon have a decision to make: will he sign the bill, or block good American jobs?"

I look forward to hearing her again this weekend in Iowa. Along with Sarah.

I liked the part where Oblama said" I'm not running anymore races I have been the winner twice". Let see, get all the Libs, socialists, halfwits, and idiots for a 50% majority to vote for you and that makes you a winner? Somebody needs to explain that one to me it's beyond my comprehension, I thought they just elected him to the whitehouse to fill their pockets on trickle down socialism. That sure don't make him or anything he has done a "winner" in my book. Mostly made all of us losers. Magnum Man

Ted Cruz is the best candidate for President the Republicans have. He is a forceful speaker and has the ability to demolish the progressive fascist liars.
