The senate received a message from the president of the United States. The message was the veto message to S.1(keystone xl pipeline). McConnell asked unanimous consent that the message be considered as having been read, that it be printed in the record and spread in full upon the journal and held at the desk and that the senate proceed to its consideration at a time to be determined by the majority leader in consultation with the democrat leader but no later than march 3. The unanimous consent request was agreed to.
