Just wondering, will a BLR magazine for .308 work with a .358 Winchester since the cases are the same size. Anyone have any experience with this?

Is that a model 81 or is it pre 81. I guess I should have stated that in the first post. Mine is a model 81.

My BLR 81 .358 came with a mag marked .358. I used one marked .308 as a spare and it worked just fine.
Keep your plowshare and your sword, know when and how to use them.

Thanks, that is what I was looking for. My LGS has a new one for .308 for $55, so I think I will pick it up as a spare. I guess I should just take the rifle up there and see if it will run a mag full through with out a hang up.
