Looks like I had too many things in the original Part One. So I'll try to split it up a bit.

Start of the Actual Cruise...

Cruise Day One:

Our ship literally comes in



We board and leave the dock. The adventure begins for real


Cruise Day Two (Maui):

A good omen as we arrive in Kahului Port


After a bus tour of the island's highpoints, we climbed from sea level to...


It was COLD and WINDY on the rim of the dormant volcano!

Cruise day Three - still on Maui:

Whale Watch, and a once-in-a-lifetime whale. Even the marine biologists were gobsmacked that this juvenile male was attracted to our boat. He cavorted and played within feet of us for an hour. Even the biologists shot "whalefies"...
