565 yard deer with a .270 and the lowly 130 grain Sierra GK. He didn't laugh at me, nor laugh my bullet off.

There are cartridges that probably do it easier at that range. However, if you are going to include the 7-08 or .280 in the mix the .270 is certainly as capable.

Creed factory 140s hit as hard at 400 as any .270 factory load, and then pulls away..... for 25% less money.... and 25% less recoil. For all intents, it IS a .270..... just modern....

.270 is a great hunting round..... but a factory load LR proposition it ain't....

Creed is a neat round and it does have advantages for sure. Though for a guy dependent mainly on factory ammunition it won't be 25% cheaper than the .270 Win, but I'll give you the recoil. At 600 yards there is no significant difference between the two other than cheaper ammunition for the .270 Win.
