I have a Traeger as well. Kinda crappy feed the way the hopper is designed so I made a simple mod to it and now can run almost indefinitely without opening the smoke/cooking chamber.
Truly set it and forget it but the pellets chosen have a huge flavor impact. Experimentation is a good thing.

Damn man....don't do that while I have a couple hours to wait!! Nicely done my friend! The Thermapen is a must for anyone serious about bbq IMO. There are many copies, but none equal or outperform the Thermaworks products.
