My boss texted me yesterday:
"When you get a chance, look up a town called Ruidoso, New Mexico and tell me if you would like to live there."
You may want to clear up any "living arrangements" he has in mind first.

Just got off the phone with him. Basically, he's already committing to moving to Albuquerque. He was wanting to know if I wanted to follow and move to the Ruidoso area.

He's my boss, but he was my brother-in-law for several years and we remain good friends.

Just got off the phone with him. Basically, he's already committing to moving to Albuquerque. He was wanting to know if I wanted to follow and move to the Ruidoso area. One thing about that... Lots of homes in Ruidoso don't have air conditioning. Lots do, but lots don't. The summers are cool up there, and many people open windows for cooling the house. Right down the mountain is Alamogordo, NM. Alamogordo sits on the desert floor at the base of the mountains, and it gets hotter'n the hinges of hell there. Lots of a/c's there.

Texas and New Mexico are not the same thing. Too many left and right coasters but the motorcycle rally is fun. Pasta Café is great.

Ruidoso is a fine place to live in my opinion. I'd consider moving there if I didn't already live in a wonderful place.
