In the final analysis it would appear Trump is the only avenue to shake up business as usual in DC. If we can survive Obama for eight years, I imagine we can tolerate whatever bad Trump might bring.

For too many decades we've "hoped", only to have seen things get worse. The mood of way too many in this country is way down... very angry and frustrated.

I'm with Trump at this point. Otherwise, you can bet it will be business as usual. Look what that has gotten us...

Trump is not a professional politician nor a lawyer and that is what gives all of political establishment inside the Beltway Sewer the cold sweats. He will totally upset the political status quo.

Moreover, what Trump will really restore is the American swagger that Europe and Asia hate so.

The American swagger that the foppish SOB Obama and the other spineless Beltway Sewer Rats have tried so hard to neuter and replace with the insanity of a cowardly political correctness.

The American swagger that defies all odds and accomplishes great, long thought impossible things like building a canal across Panama, harnessing the atom, and sending a man to walk on the moon.

I think the jury is still out on Trump. He's a master at handling the media, is entertaining and some of his positions sound good. He has an undeniable record in business. But his campaign seems to be mostly about himself and I'm not sure we need more extreme egotism and narcissism. He's also all over the place on issues and doesn't seem to have a consistent political philosophy so it's not clear how he would actually govern.

Trump fans are going on the basis of what he says and the way he handles the media. Has he really changed from when he was a Democrat? Perhaps, but it's hard to say. In 2008 Obama got elected on the basis of what he said, even though his record showed something different. After being elected, he governed in a way that matched his leftist record and not as some sort of "post-partisan" which was what he presented in the campaign. What would we get from Trump? I don't think anyone really knows.

I think this is what your looking for.....

Trump came up with an immigration plan that is so preposterous it proves he must be an undercover Democratic Party saboteur tasked with ruining any chance for a Republican victory in the 2016 presidential

It's a very good sign that our resident socialist mouthpieces are scared pants-less of Trump and working very hard to shovel chidt on his parade. That makes me respect him more.....

Not a Trump fan but can you explain your last sentence, given he is elected?

First, I don't trust Trump to be the conservative he claims.
Second , he's a vicious, vindictive SOB. How will he retaliate against those who oppose him if he has the full power of the federal government behind him.
We are close to having a dictator now, we sure don't need another one.
Like I said, I really really hope I'm wrong

It is too late for most to jump on the band wagon, can you see Jeb talking about trade tariffs and deportations? I can't, or would certainly laugh it off as desperation.

Trump was the republican leader at this time in the election cycle 4 years ago. In a field of 17 republicans anything could happen.

But if he could keep in the spotlight, I would like to see Donald attach dems.

I don't think Trump expected to be leading the field, just that there is a huge undertow of resentment and anger that is and has been present for quite a few election cycles. Prodded by a liberal media by topics (illegal aliens, anchor babies, muzlim terrorists) that Trump himself broached he has hit this mother lode vein of resentment and anger with his non-PC manner and to his credit is "exploiting" it for all it's worth.
I would like to hear him talk about "black on white" crime and "black lawlessness and criminal behavior" and "black leadership in destroying American cities" .... all topics related to "black dysfunction" This is another rich vein of anger and resentment and I would appreciate his non-PC manner of dealing with these subjects.
Democrat failure for the last half-century, especially the Obozo caliphate is another topic.
Where does he stand on the Iran issue?
Where does he stand on Obozo healh care and the destruction of ?
What's he got to say about Benghazi and the traitorous acts committed by Obozo and Haglarry?
Whats he got to say about Americans addiction to welfare?
Lotsa topics and very little time.

1) JBush is not that clever.
2) Trump is stealing everones thunder because of the media frenzy for ratings.
3) Cruz and some of the other candidates need to hire Public Relations people
to "break" Trumps "stranglehold" on his hypnotic control of the dialogue with
disenfranchised Conservative voters.
4) Hope to hell we're still not exclusively talking about illegal anchor babies six months from now !!!
5) Fox "sucked" in bragging about having some 27million viewers watch the
first debate. That's how many cable subscribers they have? What about the
millions that don't get cable - we listened (live) on the radio. DEBATES
SHOULD BE ON FREE TeeVee.... many of US don't want to feed the CABLE
BEAST.

Trump has never run for public office. How well would he do in a Blue state like New York? California?
I think Cruz can do better.
