Good night guys it's been fun but one final comment
.450 group was 62.8 gr
.674 group was 63.0 gr
63.3 gr was 1.25 inches consistantly with multiple trips to range.
But wait this can't be so if .2 don't make a difference than one more little tenth surely can't
Be safe

Like you said, sometimes ya gotta blame the shooter and not the rifle.

Sleep well.

It's when you're on the middle of the node (or however else you say the rifle and load are in tune) that a tenth or two doesn't matter much.

A tenth here isn't the same as a tenth there.

I'll take a moment and tell 16bore that I hate his rifle...... grin

"Lincoln Log" was a term that came to mind this evening as I was loading some .45-70 with IMR4198.

Oh just quit it!....just go hunting and quit playing around with numbers. Two groups or the average of ten groups doesn't impress a moose at all.

I say shoot the thing at 300 yards and humble yourself. You should be able to take the load that produced the .450 group and hold it under 1 1/2". Then you won't care anymore.

Then read this:

How much does group size matter.

Rizzy be the color, yo......

I had blue on another Faux and a range fella asked me what the tape was for. I said "they are color coded so I can tell them apart."

"Makes sense", he says...
