Because I like the round. I have a stiller SA 308 bolt face I was going to use. I decided to going a different way and am building a 7mm08 off that action with a jewell trigger and proof research barrel. I bought a rem 700 LA barreled action in 6.5X284 last night so that itch has been scratched.

Bought a Ruger American Predator 6.5 Creedmoor $399 for my son, mounted a scope, free floated barrel and adjusted trigger. Giving it to him after he comes home from AK air guard training.

Went to the range with a box of Hornady 120 gr A Max factory load. Group # 3, 5 shot,s went into .43". Hornady has load information for there factory loads! Pretty impressive rifle!


At the same time my Custom LH MRC 6.5 X 284 would not shoot better than 1.3".
