Anyone heard of it? I saw an add on Foxnews for a free copy (for now). Their claims are that it will greatly speed up any older computer. They give no info whatever. Needless to say, I'm apprehensive but once in a while some new thing will actually work. I'm not about to try it unless I hear some good thing from those who have tried it. SPEEDFIXTOOL

I would not touch that software, it's not even sold by a known vendor. It appears as it will just do basic clean up, like delete old temp files from various locations and clean up the registry, maybe disable some toolbars and browser Add-Ons.
But it could also be malware, it may collect data (key logger) and send it back to that company.
there are several other software that claim to do the same thing.
now I haven't tried it so it may be legit, but if I had to try it , it would be on a test PC first.

Avoid that crap like the plague. If it is a Windows machine, save all your data on an external drive. Then reinstall Windows.
I wuld even go as far as reformatting the drive. Windows just creates so much crap a major enema is needed sometimes.
I switched to Mac with Win 7 running Parallels. I only use Win when I have no other choice.
