Have a Remington 700 serial #G6587714 looks to have a classic style stock no black forend so i know it cant be a classic cause none were made in 270 and without the black forend it cant be a cdl or bdl what is it?

Sure they made Classics in .270. Don't know who told you they were NOT made in .270, but they were, for several years before they did the "one chambering a year" thing.

For some years, they were available in several chamberings, not just selected stuff.

I called Remington they said it was a SP limited run thinga ma jigga never saw one like it made in 2005 I'll post pics later

Rats is right! I have owned a Classic- not Limited Classic- in 6mm; Knew a fellow with one in .270 and always wanted one in 7 Rem mag. Interested in seeing the pics. Bruce

I don't recall 700 Classic stocks having black forearm tips.

Remington's response makes sense as your stock does not look like any of the Limited or regular Classics I hae seen. Ought to be a good rifle, though. Bruce

Looking at the fore end shape on the rifle, that is not a classic stock. Maybe a stock swap or a special distributor model?

What would a value be on it?

Since it isn't chambered for a low volume cartridge, about the same as a used 700 SPS, somewhere in the $350 to $450 range.
