Good condition, blue/walnut T/C Contender carbine setup. Barrels are an 18" Bulberry Custom in .44 Mag, and a 23" bull .223. The .44 barrel is in mint condition, and is very accurate. It shoots 3/4" at 100 yards with a random revolver handload I had lying around. The .223 barrel is also in great condition and appears to be little fired. I haven't shot it enough to tell anything about accuracy. Both barrels come with a weaver base mounted.

Easy-open frame with fire selector on top of hammer and ambidextrous hammer spur.

Prices are as follows (all including shipping):

Frame, buttstock, and forend: $350
.223 barrel: $225
.44 barrel: $350

or, $875 for everything

Trade interests:
S&W 686 6", S&W 617, Henry youth .22 lever-action

Pics to follow...

What is the twist on the 44 mag barrel?

I had one with a light contour .223 Carbine barrel that I used to keep in the tractor for shooting Coyotes while plowing. It was one of the most accurate .223's that I ever owned! I foolishly traded it off years ago for a AR-15

Most people do not realize just how accurate the Contenders are!

I think if you worked just a little on load development with the .44, it would be amazing.

Like I said, I haven't shot this .223 enough to tell, but I had one before that was crazy accurate with anything you shoved in it.

I'll check the twist on the .44...

As best as I can tell with a rod and patch, the twist on the .44 is 1:18", which is listed as an option on the Bullberry website.

The bullet that shot well for me was the 240gr XTP, but that was the only one I tried.

Does easy open frame mean that it is a G-2.

No, this is a Contender, not a G2. Some early Contender frames had a different pin location on the trigger guard latch (or whatever it's called), causing them to be somewhat more difficult to open. This is a later, "easy-open" Contender.

I am waiting on some pics, but a deal might soon be pending on the frame/furniture and .223 barrel...

The frame/stock and .223 barrel have been traded. The .44 mag barrel is still available.

Thanks!

I would also be interested in a trade for a decent .22 hornet rifle.
