With new bullets like the AB, the TTSX, and even the 140 Partition.... the Creed can do everything that put the .270 on the map as a pre-eminent big game slayer for the last 80 years..... for 70% of the recoil.... that's s pretty good place to be. This mule deer hated a 130 Accubond at 2800 (via 20" .260).... can't think of a better "deer caliber" than the Creed (or .260) with any of about two dozen different projectiles, but the 130 AB is near the top of the list.
You better pray to the God of Skinny Punks that this wind doesn't pick up......

That's a great photo......
And I agree on the 130AB being great at 2,800fps to 2,900fps. Nothing but good results here.
Found a sweet-shooting load the other day with the slippery 129LRAB at 2,900fps (6.5x47L). Much looking forward to trying it on meat.
Now with even more aplomb

I love my Creedmoor for hunting! I shot 2 does late season this year and this Wyoming antelope in October. Used a savage 10 predator max 1. Love it so much I'm having a long range hunting rig build in Creedmoor right now. Fun round for sure. What stock you have on there? Choate Tactical... I sold it, too big and bulky. Put a factory accustock back on it.

I've been running two different 6.5x47's for the past 6+ years. My light, 9 lb all up, rifle has taken a 3x4 mule deer @ 500, a cow elk at 250 and a very large cow elk at 450, all with the 127 LRX. Last year, I took a spike elk with the 142 Matrix VLD at 950 yds. The 6.5 Creedmoor will do quite well.

So...I'm inundated with .260's in that both of my boys shoot them. 140 gr. Accubonds do the damage to the deer, they can't hunt elk yet (age). And I love there set up. I just ordered a Thunderbeast 6.5 Ultra 7 for them just for plinking throughout the year. They're loving the idea... Here's my dilemma: I'm thinking of building a 6.5 BUT do I stick with the .260 in case my boys forget ammo etc. or do I build a 6.5 Creed which would enable me to have a bunch of fun with long bullets? I'm thinking I'll break the mold, just cuz this stuff is so much fun! But, 3 .260's would be cool too!
Everybody has the right to a wrong opinion.

If it was me, I think I'd build a 260 on something with a long magazine box, like a Montana Rifles short action, or maybe even a Tikka. But you can't go wrong either way.

What is a "Thunderbeast 6.5 Ultra 7"? You should start a new thread, like the ever popular What does 223AI mean?

260 Remguy:
Sorry I didn't explain! I thought I'd just mention a fun aspect I was incorporating into my 6.5 world. I was thinking a suppressor would be a great thing for my 10 year old's gun for his 9 year old sister and 8 year old brother to encourage more shooting!
I know they're going to love it...

Not being a suppressor guy, I would never have caught that.
