Was looking to get in to the big bore game(for me anyway) and find a 375 of some sort. then i stumbled on to a 1917 sported in 30-06 for 100 bucks. thinking now i may send it out to have it punched to a 9.3x62 as it will be mostly a plinker.

My questions are if i go this route will it take mag rail mods to get it to feed right? and is there a standard throat to shoot for with the 286 gr bullets?

Thanks
David

I converted a 270 to 9.3x62 and it worked fine without mod's to anything but changing out the barrel.

Hope that helps.

Mine was a Sako 85
