How much does a stainless. Howa 1500 cost and where can they be bought?

I don't know if Howa quit making the 1500 in SS, but LSI quit importing them last year. For some reason, they think Cerakote is the answer. IMHO, that blows. Look at Whittaker's site to see if they have any or PM shortactionsmoker. If he doesn't have any he can likely find some.

I had Whittaker order a barreled action for me. Reasonable price. Bud's may have a few barreled actions in stock.

Weatherby still builds SS Vanguards, and the S2 stock is reasonably nice.

OlongJohnson - I've purchased several SS HOWA barreled actions in the past and installed them into either B&C, Ramline or Boyds
laminated stocks. Takes a little more time and effort but you end up with exactly what you want i.e. stock weight/LOP etc.
