I have a very pretty original ADL Classic stock in its semi gloss finish and a replacement Boyds Walnut both with slight(ish) crack along side the magazine where I screwed up and allowed the follower spring to cause this known issue- TWICE. (Feeling VERY stupid) I would love to sell to a good home at a price that would make someone happy- BUT I want to make sure the idea of doing that is both ethical on my part as well as worthwhile for any buyer? I am sure these can be epoxied and put to use. I have shot the Boyds a few times after discovering the crack and it was accurate as heck and showed no sign of worsening. I knew what happened after finding the actions screws needed tightening.

These were only used on a 6mm rem, both used on the same rifle and want it known they were beeded to it.

I decided to get an HS Precision and have these two laying around now. These are short action stocks and I hate to think of just tossing them when they might still find use and a home.

Any thoughts?

I've repaired a couple over the years, they haven't come apart yet.

Close up of crack - In person I have a VERY hard time seeing it too. Look very close for the hairline where the wood just turns under, about an inch above and forward of the trigger cut out. [Linked Image]

its crack, think a smith already epxied it but can't swear.

Other than the cracks both are in great cosmetic shape and still shoot stellar, thought I stopped shooting them after VERY few (single digit) rounds. No gouges, chips pr scratches to speak of.
