I really didn't want to resize wrong head-stamp brass either, but I wanted to shoot my gun, I didn't want store bought ammo, and I had 22-250 on hand. It works, and it is cheap.

My wife Karen shoots a .250 Ackley and we also have several .22-250 and .22-250 Ackley rifles.

The domestic .250 Savage brass got to suck so badly that I switched Karen's rifle over to resized .22-250 brass that was nickle plated.

Even Stevie Wonder could tell her .250 Ackley ammo and brass from the .22-250s we use .... Duhhhh, it's the SILVER AMMO!!!

Anyway, I'd recommend using nickle and brass cases; one for .250 and one for .22-250.

By the way, the concentricity of .22-250 cases, just about any brand, is excellent.

Blessings,

Steve

PS. We use Redding dies in 250 Savage with Richard's loooong tapered expanding plug to take the .224" necks up to .25 cal. Then, load with .250 Ackley Redding dies after that. Chamfer inside with a VLD chamfering tool expanding to .257".
