Well not all of their powder, but a couple.

Accurate 2520 will now be manufactured by St Marks in FL with a slight change in shape and more temperature stability.

They are also splitting up X-Terminator and 2230 and they will be two separate powders.

2230 will be moving to St Marks as well, while X-T will remain a Belgium powder with an added Copper Fouling agent.

Interesting. Where did you get this info from?

I read it on the AR-15 Forum, then sent Western an email asking if true. here is their reply.

Steve,
Where do you read this at?
Yes this is correct, we are splitting A2230 and X-Terminator;
In Belgium X-Terminator will be its own powder that will now have a de-coppering agent added.
At St. Marks, A2520 and A2230 will be now manufactured here and will have a change in shape and have more temperature stability.

That is good news, that is similar to what I heard when I talked to them a few days go. They are nice people to deal with and while on the subject about a month ago a friend gave me a pound of A2230, I was having trouble getting my 5.56 AR build to shoot groups under 3/4 inch at 100 yards. I worked up a load with the Hornady 68 gr HPBT match and Sierra 69 gr tmk's, both bullets shot groups under half inch. I called Western powders regarding A2230 and they told me that it had not been available for quite a while but Ramshot exterminator is the same powder but it also has not been around for awhile.

The next day I went to my local Big R and while checking out the powder section I saw a pound of Exterminator on the shelf, did not think twice about taking it home. While working up a load I discovered that it is not really the same powder, it runs 120 fps slower with the same powder charge. It takes eight tenths of a grain more of Exterminator to get the same speed.

What you're seeing is probably the difference between different lots of powder; possibly temperature related as well. I've seen similar differences between different bottles of X-Terminator.

Some people still use the same sort of evidence to insist that H110 and 296 are different powders too, but they're not.

I called about the velocity difference and they said the same thing, the tech I talked to asked for the Lot # on the pound of A2230 that I had, it was manufactured in May 1989. If you know of anyone who is looking for some Ramshot hunter I know where there is some.

Wish they would move the slower powders here and away from NATO.

This is very interesting. A more temperature stable AA2230 would be very interesting to me. Any timeline associated with this?
