Thought Cruz would announce his running as VP with Paul Ryan after the convention straightens things out. Oh well, politics are hard to predict.

Could not agree more, but...

Coming together on a United Front to defeat Hillary will only come from the Top.

If Trump gets the nomination, then to "Unite" Cruz needs to stand tall and tell his supporters to support Trump. Will he do that, duno.

If Cruz gets the nomination, Trump needs to do the same, stand tall and give his unconditional support to Cruz. Will he do that? Doubt it.

If Trump wins, Cruz has no gripe and no reason to complain as he lost fair-n-square.

If Cruz wins, Trump might claim foul, rightfully so. If he claims foul, he will have lost the opportunity to endorse Cruz and to build the foundation for a united front to defeat Hillary.

Who ever loses, if he does not endorse the winner, then we can expect their supporters to do the same.

It all boils down to these two egomaniacs.

Well put, and if nobody gets 51%, they don't win.

It looks like this thread has finally devolved to my level.
