Looks like the low oil prices have people upset in Saudi:

Laid off workers set buses on fire

Here's a rare sight in Saudi Arabia: Protesters setting buses on fire.

The Saudi Binladin Group, a massive construction company founded by the father of the late al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, has laid off at least 50,000 workers, according to local press reports.

The job cuts come as the Saudi government has delayed payment to construction firms and cut spending to grapple with the plunging price of oil, which makes up three-quarters of the government's revenue.

Saudi-based newspaper al-Watan reported the Binladin Group terminated the contracts of 50,000 workers -- mostly foreigners -- and has given them permanent exit visas to leave the country. Some workers refused to leave the kingdom because they claim the company has not paid them for months, the paper reported.

The Saudi military confirmed to al-Watan that protesting workers torched seven buses in Mecca -- a rare sight in Saudi Arabia, which Human Rights Watch has criticized for cracking down on free speech and imprisoning peaceful dissidents.

Binladin Group? That's a company whose assets should have been seized by the U.S. LONG ago.

Of course, we should have smashed the f'kin' Sauds decades ago anyway.

F'k 'em; let the SOBs drink their oil.

To my mind, the single greatest missed opportunity in the last 50 years was Reagan NOT launching the equivalent of a "new space program" to get the U.S. off petroleum. Had we done that, we could have been off any dependency of the Middle East and hopefully led the rest of the world away from those worthless bastards as well.

Outside of the US trained engineer types over there, the dune coons are by and large at the bottom of the food chain as far as brains go. Plus they are worthless, poppy seed eatin', wipe their ass with their bare hands trash.

You boys have this all wrong...

So the Saudis have people who do work that Saudis don't wanna do.. and when it runs its course, they send them back to the third world schitthole they came from...

and the ones that burned the buses and tried to riot, I hope the Saudis round them up and jail them... and after they serve their terms, deported and never allowed to return...

What do we do here instead... set them up on welfare, give them a home, show them how to abuse the welfare system, Cloth them, give them a pass when they break the law knowingly or unknowingly....give them more benefits when they claim they are being discriminated against... at the expense of our own citizens, financially or otherwise...

and all they have to do in return is to vote democRAT and keep supporting a major increase in the size and scope of our Federal Government....

I say let the Saudis deal with the perps and never allow them to return... that ought to shut up those that might want to....

ROFLMAO. Whipe their ass with their hands. You are correct, they are not the smartest. Here is one reason. Mohomad said it was ok to mary their cousins. Being in the desert for centuries, there was not a whole lot of choice who you mary. So, if Mohamed said it was ok then it is. After 1,400 yrs of this they are inbred. One sign of an inbred person is they cannot see at night, and they can't see good enough to fly military jets. Desert rats is all they are. Again, if we would be willing to buy our own oil at $50 a barrel we would take care of ourselves. We just need a $50 price guarantee on our own oil. This would drop the crude price so low that OPEC would starve. We would watch ISIS dry up like dead animal in the desert, Iran would go into unrest, Russia would have to stop its own military in a hurry and we would be sitting pretty.

Good logic. Good points.

All fine and dandy, but at that point the Saudi's would have to actually, like, WORK.

They haven't worked for more than a generation. At that point, the Saudi's would riot. It would be like putting our welfare queens to work. Good luck with that.....
