Coming home from a celebration with friends, I turned into the cemetery where my great grandfather and grandmother are buried.Took me a few minutes to find the head stone. S. G. and Amanda Bradley. He fought in the civil war for the Confederacy, from Missouri. Did time in a Union prison camp, came home and traveled to Ogallala, Nebraska to become a successful business man and lived till 1920. Amanda lived till 1929. I can only imagine what they saw in their lifetimes. I wish I had more history of their lives. When I go back, I plan to clean up the headstone and leave both a Confederate and Union flag in the flower vases set in concrete. I have many more relatives buried in the area, most of the men also fought in various wars. On Monday I plan to visit all of them I find.
