New in the box Marlin 1895GBL 45-70. This rifle was a little stiff when received so I returned it to Marlin. It came back with the slickest action I've ever seen on a 1895. It is a nice rifle in all respects. It actually shows better workmanship than the JM stainless I have. It is new and never been shot unless the factory test fired it. I like the rifle but these 45-70's are tools to me and I just can't justify a blued gun in the way I use them. My older Stainless gun shows a lot of hard use.

i have one just like it and it shoots much better than my JM's. i got it from my cousin who buy's anything he see's
then has me check them out. it shot so well i conned, i mean talked hi out of it.
the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded. Robert E Lee
