My grand-son and I will be hunting caribou in unit 26, from September 9 thru 18. I had planned for unit 23 but the Subsistence Board has put a stop to that. Hunting partners just cancelled. The partners who have cancelled have said that new partners (if I can find two) can use their deposit with the bush pilot. That's a savings of $2,250 for new partners. Can't fault the previous partners after that gesture.

I have a moose permit for unit 23 but can't use it without hunting partners. So I'll use the moose tag to shoot a caribou in unit 26.

PM me if you're interested.

Serious inquiries only please.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning to take the family to Yellowstone. So won't have Internet access for a week. I know it's late to jump into this kind of a trip. Hopefully I will return to find messages from a couple of adventurous people who want to shoot some 'bou.

I wish I had the extra time, I'd go along on the moose part and just help you hunt and pack. If they allowed the moose tag to go on.

Which reminds me I should likely go online and buy my moose tag asap.

Good luck!

Hope you enjoyed yellowstone

Good luck KC!

Rumor is NR moose hunting will also be attempted to be shut down in 23 next year, on the excuse of declining moose populations.

Thanks for the good wishes. I just got back from Yellowstone and five people have requested more info. Hopefully there are a couple of good guys who will sign up.

I hopefully I'll have time to buy you a drink when I'm in KOTZ.

Still Looking. I've had several bites. But no one has confirmed that they will join me. The offer of $2,250 towards the bush pilot cost is still on the table. September 10 thru 18.

Damn it! I'm traveling for work until September 11 and there is no such thing as sick or personal days in my industry. I'm starting to plan a hunt for next year. Besides initial airfare to AK, what is the overall cost of your hunt? Wish I could make it this fall but we all have to take the money when it's there. Good luck and good times to you and your parnters.

If it was easy, everybody would do it.
