Hey all
I currently have an Iowa resident ccw, Utah non resident ccw and an Illinois non resident ccw
Is there any online course I could take that doesn't require me to shoot? I mean come on I already have 3 states
Thanks

1. Must be at least 21 years of age
2. Must complete an application form
3. Must not be prohibited from possessing a firearm under Minnesota Statute 624.714
4. Must not be listed in the criminal gang investigation system
5. Must be a resident of the county from which you are requesting a permit, if you reside in Minnesota. Non-residents may apply to any Minnesota county sheriff.
6. Must provide certificate of completed authorized firearms training. Training by a certified instructor and completed within one year of an original or renewal application. (624.714, Subd. 2a)

Looks like you gotta shoot.

I assume the OP checked into what is available with those multi-state reciprocity agreements?

Curious as to where you lived when you got your Illinois permit? Illinois law does not allow issue to Iowa residents.

True story Illinois Non-Res is cool up here. However, it is a Permit to Carry ... conceal it or not is your call (concealed highly recommended).

For an illinois non res permit to be any good anywhere you need to maintain residency in a state that they issue to. If you give up that residency the permit becomes invalid, even (especially)in Illinois.

There are currently 5 states you can live in and hold a valid Illinois permit.

1) Illinois
2) Virginia
3) South Carolina
4) New Mexico
5) Hawaii

If a guy has both Illinois and Iowa permits something is wrong. Neither state will issue a permit to residents of the other.

I do my best to avoid MN because of the reciprocal rules. I know they don't miss me, but it's been easy so far.

Do I understand that WI recognizes MN's permit but MN doesn't recognize WI's?

That is correct.

I find this page to be the simplest and easiest to understand.

If you'll look at that CCW map, you'll find that those of us living in the Golden State are exempt from crime, which is why we don't need no stinking CCW permits. It's either that, or this effing state is decimated, er, I mean dominated by fascist liberals and neocons who have stripped Californians of self-government and have made honest, law abiding citizens easy victims.

Remember Kate Steinle on 08 NOV 16.

Vote Donald Trump. He's our hope for enforcing our already existing national CCW law: the Second Amendment.
