A few years ago, this one was unfired and belonged to a friend's father. Upon his father's death, the friend gifted it to me. I told him it would not remain unfired and it didn't. Dan, what model and year of production is that one? I know just by the box it's at least pre-90's.

No pistols here that are unfired. Can't think of any rifles, either. Dad had a few of them. At one point he had a Baby Browning .25 ACP. When I was in college I asked him one day if we could shoot it, and he was aghast - he said he was afraid of getting a finger in front of the muzzle I have a Ruger #1 that is a fairly rare variant, rare enough to consider just putting it back in the safe. But the previous owner lost the box, so I finally decided to take it out & shoot it. It has proved to be the most accurate big bore I've ever seen, and has become one of my favorite rifles.

Thanks. Maybe late 60s. Never looked it up.
