Nice rifle!
You have to be more dedicated than me to hunt in -30 weather!
That's Centigrade, not F.. BIG difference..
FWIW, I have hunted in NW WI when, at 4:00 am, we got out of the truck and began the walk into the woods.. The temp was -32F... But I was a LOT younger then - like, about 38-39 years younger..
Another section of our party went further north to Solon Springs.. IIRC, the temp there at the time was something south of -40F... And we thought THEY were crazy..
-30C is only -22F.
Was caribou hunting in Tok Alaska one winter and it was freezing-butt-cold. Took a break after a few hours to run into "town" for some coffee and a slice of apple pie.
When the waitress asked what we were up to, and we told her, she said it had been down to -36F that morning. Explains why we had to put sterno fires under the 4 wheelers to get them to start, and even the snow machine was giving us fits.
Back when I was a wee Lt, I accidentally picked a week that was -42F (degrees C and degrees F are the same at -40) to go to Arctic Survival School.
That level of cold sharpens your senses......
